It seems that all the buildings have been standing since the Spanish colonial era. In fact, construction began in the second half of the last century, in 1976, under the leadership of Roberto Copa, former designer and owner of Paramount Pictures, Charles Blyudorn.
The famous movie "Apocalypse Today" from Paramount Studios was filmed at this location.
In the center of the village is the church of St. Stanislav, popular for weddings. It was in it that the marriage of Michael Jackson and Lisa Maria Presley took place.
The church received its name thanks to the visit of John Paul II, who in 1979 left part of the ashes of Saint Stanislav here.
The church has unique carved wooden statues that were brought from Krakow.
In 2004, the temple hosted the wedding of the Duke of Anjou Louis Louis Alfons and the Venezuelan heiress María Margarita de Vargas.
